The wild flower meadow here at Park Hall is already full of colour with the promise of a lot more to come.

Bumblebees and butterflies flit across the open flower heads soaking up the nectar while over head the glorious sound of the Skylarks can be heard.

Skylarks are smaller than a starling with a streaky brown plumage yet despite this rather plain appearance the Skylark more than makes up for this with its wonderful song made whilst flying high above.

In the UK the breeding population of Skylarks has declined by over 50% over the past 25 years putting it on the highest conservation priority list.

We are pleased to report that we have many breeding pairs here at Park Hall and our wild flower meadow has proven to be a popular nesting site.
