Did you know that Park Hall is situated right in the middle of the driest place in the United Kingdom; that’s official!

This brings great benefits for our visitors who can enjoy the wonderful sunshine and warmer temperatures but alas this is not such good news for the keen gardeners and farmers. We have not seen a decent rain since last July when the heavens opened and drenched us for a few hours, in fact this year we have not seen a single drop of rain for the past 12 weeks.
Keeping the gardens looking good during this dry spell takes a lot of extra effort and time but trying to irrigate the hundreds of acres of arable farmland here at Park Hall is nigh on impossible. So if any of you know a good proven rain dance now is the time to do one!
The Tooseys accompany David and his agronomist on weekly crop inspections and as you can see the land is desperate for rain to help the crops grow. So if enjoy your morning cereal and your slice of toast for breakfast now is the time to get out there dancing for rain!

Love Park Hall ♥
